Events Director
Position Summary
Reporting to the Chair or Vice Chair, the Events Director will oversee all Alexander Foundation
events. This role includes both large and small scale event planning, supervising a committee of
volunteers, and supports the organization’s fundraising efforts.

Estimated Time Commitment: 4-6 out of season, 10-14 in season

Financial Commitment: Board members of the Alexander Foundation are expected to contribute a minimum of $500 annually, which can be fulfilled through direct donations or by raising funds through various activities. This
commitment helps ensure the foundation's sustainability and supports its mission effectively. -
Leadership: Serve as the strategic leader of your area to the Board of Directors.

Fundraising: Soliciting donations, identifying potential sponsors, and networking with
donors, supporting events, etc. (see above statement for Financial Commitment). -
Public Profile: Serve as an ambassador for the organization: articulate The Alexander
Foundation’s mission, accomplishments, and goals, and solicit feedback and concerns
related to The Alexander Foundation’s mission.
Responsibilities

Identify prospective events, coordinate the planning of each event, and report on event success and opportunities for improvement.

Work in partnership with the Development Director and Marketing & Communications Director to market events, ensure that the event supports our Development program objectives.

Identify potential collaborations with other organizations with aligned missions.

Recruit and supervise the event committee to support the development and improvement of events, support planning, and ensuring event staffing.

Serve as an ambassador for the organization: articulate The Alexander Foundation’s mission, accomplishments, and goals, and solicit feedback and concerns related to The Alexander Foundation’s mission.

Fundraise on behalf of The Alexander Foundation: soliciting donations, identifying potential sponsors, and networking with donors.
