Scholarship Director
Position Summary
Reporting to the Chair or Vice Chair, the Scholarship Director will oversee The Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program. This entails recruiting and supervising a committee of reviewers, marketing scholarship opportunities to the community, and partnering with the Development Director to support organizational fundraising efforts.
Expectations

Estimated Time Commitment: 4-6 out of season, 10-14 in season
Financial Commitment: Board members of the Alexander Foundation are expected to contribute a minimum of $500 annually, which can be fulfilled through direct donations or by raising funds through various activities. This commitment helps ensure the foundation's sustainability and supports its mission effectively.
Leadership: Serve as the strategic leader of your area to the Board of Directors.
Fundraising: Soliciting donations, identifying potential sponsors, and networking with donors, supporting events, etc. (see above statement for Financial Commitment).
Public Profile: Serve as an ambassador for the organization: articulate The Alexander Foundation’s mission, accomplishments, and goals, and solicit feedback and concerns related to The Alexander Foundation’s mission.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute The Alexander Foundation’s annual scholarship program.

Develop communications plan to market scholarship opportunities across the state.

Maintain database of applicant records and provide data reports for annual report and marketing efforts.

Recruit and supervise scholarship committee to support the development and improvement of scholarship program, review scholarship applications, and select scholarship awardees.

Serve as an ambassador for the organization: articulate The Alexander Foundation’s mission, accomplishments, and goals, and solicit feedback and concerns related to The Alexander Foundation’s mission.
